An Empire of Dreams features the key depots along the original 142-mile long Oregon Pacific Railroad Company. The exhibit backs up to the post office building along the west side of our platform. The mile posts are placed at a scale of one foot equals one mile.
Our caboose has historic photographs about logging, the industry most responsible for Lincoln County having a railroad heritage. We also have documents from the original railroad companies that operated in Lincoln County.
The exhibit in the north end of the RPO car is a reconstructed RPO car interior. The other end of the RPO car features a baggage car exhibit, artifacts from passenger rail service along the Pacific coast, and our extensive library of historic railroad books and magazines.
